Biographie

After the duel between Chrollo and Hisoka at the Celestial Tower, Machi remains with the body with Shalnark and Kortopi. The two men leave after confirming the death, but she remains to repair the corpse, Hisoka having paid for the service in advance. She also thanks him for helping to exorcise Chrollo.

As Machi prepares her sons, the aura suddenly surrounds the body. She immediately recognizes a post-mortem Nen: Bungee Gum compresses Hisoka's heart and lungs until resuscitating him. Machi advises him to choose his battles from now on and offers to stitch him up, but he reconstructs his face and limbs himself with Bungee Gum and Texture Surprise.

Hisoka then immobilizes Machi with his aura and orders him to announce to the Spiders that he will now attack them on sight until he has killed them all. Furious, Machi promises to kill him and tries to free herself, becoming one of the first people to learn of her new hunting rules.

On the second day of the trip, she finds Chrollo in a crowded market in Tier 5. She claims the right to kill Hisoka, but Chrollo refuses her priority like a coin toss: this time, all the members of the Brigade want the same revenge. He simply orders him to find their target, who he knows is present on the ship.

On the fourth day, Machi attends the general meeting in the central dining hall. After the peaceful departure of the table claimed by the Cha-R, Chrollo disperses the Spiders and asks them to bring back Hisoka's head. An overview then shows her alone in a standard Tier 5 cabin.

The other members contact her during the hunt for Luini and the advance against the Heil-Ly. On the twelfth day, Phinks asks the Cha-R officials to warn all Spiders of the official deal to destroy Morena's family, but Machi has not yet been directly seen again.

Memories from Meteor City show that as a child, Machi could already perceive aura before any formal awakening to Nen. After Sarasa's death, she witnessed the formation of the group that would become the Phantom Troupe and subsequently developed her exceptional talent for transforming her aura into sons.

CAPACITÉS ET POUVOIRS

Machi is an elite assassin, extremely fast fighter and founding member of the Brigade. His intuition is said to be remarkable and his reflexes allow him to sense almost instantly any disturbance in his sons. It combines physical strength, medical expertise and great precision: its sutures can reconnect the muscles, nerves, vessels and bones of a severed limb in just a few moments.

Machi remains with Hisoka's body after the duel because he had paid her in advance to sew it back together — and she is present when Bungee Gum's post-mortem contraction restarts his heart and lungs. He immobilises her with his aura and makes her the messenger of his new hunting rule. On the second day of the voyage she finds Chrollo in the Tier 5 market and claims priority on the kill; he refuses to toss a coin for it, because this time every Spider wants the same revenge.
