Biography
The Zodiacs learn of Beyond when Nasubi Hui Guo Rou introduces him as the leader of Kakin's expedition to the Dark Continent. Beyond claims that humanity originated there and invites all volunteers to follow him. His speech exceeds one hundred million views on EyeTube in one hour and the one hundred thousand telephone lines opened by Kakin are overwhelmed. Despite V5's order to cease, he asks the king to ignore it and proclaims his willingness to explore the unknown, respect those who wish to join or leave, and crush anyone who interferes.
Beyond then phones Beans and voluntarily surrenders himself to the Zodiacs, commissioned by the V5 to capture him. Detained at the Hunters' Association headquarters and interrogated by Cheadle, he predicts that V5 will eventually approve the expedition and that the Hunters will accompany him as overseers. Events prove him right: the Association becomes responsible for his guard while his objective remains to escape to the Dark Continent and join his own team.
When Saiyu is identified as Pariston's spy, Mizaistom offers Beyond to attend the ceremony preceding the departure in exchange for the identity of the mole. Beyond claims to know nothing and is only interested in what lies beyond the New Continent. Kurapika, who is observing the interview from a distance, concludes that he is telling the truth.
On August 7, Beyond participated in the ceremony alongside the princes of Kakin and greeted the crowd. He is then taken to a VVIP cell in Tier 1 of the Black Whale, where he reads quietly under the supervision of Saiyu, Saccho and Kanzai.
Beyond remains largely inactive until 2 p.m. on the tenth day of the journey. After finishing a book and joking with Kanzai, he asks him to help him arrange a meeting with a person.
The next day, Judge Cleapatro accepts his invitation. Despite his request, Kanzai and Saiyu refuse to leave them alone. Cleapatro and Beyond examine the 1,047 cases he filed against Kakin's government, all of which were rejected, then debate the definition of the people in the Constitution and the legal status of the royal family. Beyond studies the files, amendments and revisions made in his cell under the watchful eye of the Zodiacs, while revealing that he has known Cleapatro since his childhood.
On the twelfth day, Borksen remembers that Beyond's promise - or someone associated with it - to leave for the New Continent was the starting point for the threats now weighing on the ordinary future she desired.

Beyond's accomplishments demonstrate exceptional power, intelligence, and planning ability. He manipulated the great world powers until forcing them to approve his project. He is one of the very rare explorers who have returned from the Dark Continent healthy in body and mind, which requires extreme survival and combat skills. His role as decision-maker on all matters related to the Dark Continent already made him the preeminent expert in the field fifty years ago.
