Zodiac. Physician affiliated with Cheadle. **Succession Competition Arc** Leorio is contacted by Cheadle who asks him to join the Zodiacs and accompany them on their journey to the Dark Continent. She explains to a confused Leorio that because of his actions during the election, he is highly regarded in the Hunters' Association. His presence would surely help the Zodiacs gain the influence necessary for the success of their mission. Leorio, ready to refuse, says that he must devote himself to his studies. Cheadle then informs her that he has been allowed to study abroad with her as his teacher. Realizing it's a unique offer, he agrees to be Ging's successor but then asks if there is room for another Zodiac, proposing Kurapika. As Kurapika is taken to the Hunters Association headquarters, he speaks to Leorio on the phone. Leorio asks him to give him his email address but Kurapika refuses. Kurapika says he heard about Gon's situation from Mizaistom and asks if there is anything he can do, but Leorio replies that their friend is fine and is more useful in the Zodiacs. Leorio greets Kurapika upon his arrival at headquarters, stating that the mission seems more complicated than expected and wondering if they will make it through. Kurapika's only concern, however, is why they were given so little information. Cheadle then takes the lead and introduces them to the other Zodiacs. She begins to explain the V6, the Five Plagues, and the difficulty of the mission which is Rank A, while the Chimera Ants were Rank B. Leorio becomes worried, deducing that the mission he is embarking on is even more dangerous than the one in which Netero lost his life. Cheadle then asks if anyone has any questions. Kurapika raises his hand, saying he has a lot. The first is how many infiltrators on the Beyond Netero side the Zodiacs managed to identify, much to everyone's shock. When Kurapika and Mizaistom return to the room, Cheadle continues his speech. Leorio states that he will support his medical team in the Dark Continent and is happy to be allowed to join the expedition, promising to do his best. He is assigned to the Scientific Team. When the Black Whale finally sets sail, Leorio is seen working at the medical center on Deck 3 under Cheadle's orders, carrying medicine and listening to his orders. Leorio is shown in the medical ward on Deck 3 with Cheadle and Gel. On the eleventh day of the voyage, Leorio is part of a medical team led by Cheadle, tasked with caring for the 9th Prince Halkenburg, who (unbeknownst to them, at that point carrying Balsamilco's ego) is rushed to them at the hospital on Deck 3 after collapsing (also unbeknownst to them, as he was administered TSK-17). They were subsequently deported after the royal and military medical team sent by 1st Prince Benjamin came to care for Halkenburg and his condition. **Relationships** - **Cheadle Yorkshire**: Leorio's mentor and superior, she recruited him into the Zodiacs and supervises his medical studies and his integration into the scientific team. - **Kurapika**: Close friend he recommended to join the Zodiacs. - **Ging Freecss**: Leorio officially succeeds him as Zodiac. **Nen** Leorio is from the Show with a penchant for Reinforcement. Having postponed his training due to his college application, by the time he reunited with Gon and Killua in York Shin City, he could only use the Ten and was unaware of the existence of other techniques.
