Biography
On the second day of the journey, Franklin is traveling through Tier 5 with Phinks, Feitan, and Nobunaga when they encounter three members of the Buor family. They try to intimidate them without recognizing the Brigade, but are easily beaten and taken to the central refectory for questioning.
The Spiders force their prisoners to explain the organization of Kakin's three mafia families. Franklin offers to provoke all three and asks which one is the most powerful. Learning that the Xi-Yu dominates by its financial means and its personnel, he demands that Buor's men summon the collector of their tribute. Phinks then orders them to raise the cabins of all passengers taller than 1.88 meters in order to find Hisoka.
On the fourth day, the Brigade assembles in the crowded central mess hall. Franklin sits on the opposite end from Chrollo. When the Cha-R demands their table, the Spiders retreat without a fight, then Chrollo disperses the group with orders to bring back Hisoka's head.
Franklin chooses to stay alone in the refectory and is eating there when Ittoku, consigliere of the Cha-R, comes to question him. He explains that he is not wasting his efforts: since Hisoka wants to kill the Spiders, he will eventually come to him. He denies the Brigade's involvement in the warehouse attack and states that they will not move on to stealing the treasures until they have eliminated Hisoka.
At ten o'clock the same day, an overview of the Black Whale confirms that Franklin is still alone in the central mess hall of Tier 5. The other members later contact him during their hunt for the Heil-Ly Killer.
On the tenth day, when Nobunaga is considering re-forming pairs, Phinks believes that Franklin would refuse to wait in the cramped Cha-R base, because he hates confined spaces. They instead consider letting him search outside while Phinks and Feitan guard the base, but Franklin remains their waiting point above all against Hisoka.
ABILITIES & POWERS
A Class A criminal and experienced member of the Phantom Troupe, Franklin combines an immense reserve of aura, great physical resistance and firepower capable of taking down dozens of opponents in a matter of seconds. Calm, pragmatic and unimpressible, he often serves as the reasonable voice of the group. Its projectiles pass through Nen puppets and retain enough force to kill those shielded behind them.

Franklin is an Emitter with a dual affinity to Reinforcement. He can project hundreds of aura bullets without visible fatigue and his stamina allowed him to escape a car explosion unscathed.

Franklin stays alone in the Tier 5 central mess hall while the Troupe disperses, on the logic that Hisoka wants to kill the Spiders and will therefore come to him. He tells Ittoku exactly that, denies the Troupe's involvement in the warehouse killing, and states that the theft of Kakin's treasures waits until Hisoka is dealt with. Phinks notes he would never accept waiting inside the cramped Cha-R base — he hates confined spaces.
