Biography
On the second day of the trip, Phinks, Feitan, Franklin and Nobunaga subdue three men from the Buor family at Tier 5. During the interrogation, Phinks understands that a middleman collects the profits between the leaders and their men. He then orders the prisoners to take down the cabin numbers of all passengers taller than 1.88 meters in order to find Hisoka.
On the fourth day, the Brigade meets in the central dining hall then disperses on Chrollo's orders. Phinks and Feitan accompany Nobunaga to the depot to retrieve their clandestine weapons, refusing to give Hisoka even the slightest chance to catch any of them isolated.
In the warehouse, a Cha-R guide suddenly disappears before being found with his throat cut. Phinks analyzes the scene, follows a trail of blood and rules out Hisoka's involvement. When Ken'i confronts them, he deduces that the killer is seeking to mark the lair in order to later unlock a teleportation capability there.
The three Spiders agree to kill Luini in exchange for access to the higher levels. On the seventh day, Phinks asks Ken'i and Tajao to locate Morena and promises them that the Brigade will come together to hunt down the Heil-Ly Killer.
On the tenth day, Luini appears in the Cha-R base and offers to help the Brigade destroy the world. Phinks and Feitan greet his words with disgust before Nobunaga kills him. Phinks then announces that the Brigade will destroy the Heil-Ly while keeping Hisoka as their main priority.
In Tier 3, Phinks, Feitan and Nobunaga explore the neighboring rooms of room 3101 to figure out the teleportation trap. They use hostages to verify its continued triggering and debate the respective roles of Emission, Materialization and possible Specialization.
Hinrigh suggests they swallow a transmitter transformed into an oyster and escapes the trap himself. Phinks receives the detector and tracks its signal with Feitan. He recognizes that his En is too unstable in a crowd: voices, movements and his own movement interrupt his concentration, which limits him to small spaces like a warehouse.
The signal allows the group to conclude that the Heil-Ly hideout is on Tier 2. Nobunaga joins them and then insists on securing a path to the upper floors. Phinks reminds him that the mafia war remains secondary to Hisoka, even if they ultimately accept the official request to destroy the Heil-Ly.
Memories from Meteor City show Phinks as a child, close to Feitan and the future founders of the Brigade. He steals a tape from Chrollo, participates in the Power Cleaners' dubbing as Blue Cleaner, helps search for Sarasa, witnesses the discovery of her body, and supports Chrollo's appointment as leader of the group dedicated to avenging her.
On the twelfth day, Tajao leads Phinks, Feitan and Nobunaga into a secret tunnel. They reach a huge purification and recycling chamber between Tiers 4 and 5. Phinks understands that Heil-Ly may have replaced waste processing contractors to freely lure and kill victims. Nobunaga turns back, while Phinks and Feitan prepare to continue the infiltration.
ABILITIES & POWERS
Phinks is one of the Phantom Troupe's major physical fighters. He possesses exceptional strength, speed, and reflexes, as well as a solid theoretical understanding of Nen, including teleportation abilities, marking, materialized spaces, and restricted contracts. Direct and aggressive, he is nevertheless cautious of traps and quickly analyzes crime scenes and opposing tactics.
AURA PROFILE
Nen & abilities
Phinks is presented as an Enhancer mastering a wide range of techniques. His En works in small spaces but disintegrates when he moves, hears a voice, or senses movement, making him dangerous to use in a crowd.
Ripper Cyclotron accumulates aura in his fist with each rotation of his arm. Fifteen rounds pulverized a resistant Chimera Ant, although Phinks estimates that half would have been enough and admits to having difficulty measuring its strength.
