Shikaku is Benjamin's soldier placed as Halkenburg's royal bodyguard. The collective aura raised by the minute of silence for Momoze terrifies him, and his reports are what let Benjamin follow the ninth prince's rise. Grimmel's arrow passes through Culdcept and every defence, then swaps the target's soul with that of a randomly marked bearer: Sumidori takes control of Shikaku's body, and Halkenburg uses it to stage a suicide in front of Room 1007 that Basho and Luzurus hear. Benjamin inherits Culdcept on the death. Where Shikaku's own consciousness goes, the ability's rule implies but the chapters do not follow.
