Morena's Game

Ch. 407-410 sits Borksen down in the leader’s office of the Heil-Ly hideout and deals twelve cards between them. Seven of them are questions, and they are Morena’s. Five are answers, and they are yours. You spend a question a round to learn what you are agreeing to; she takes an answer a round at random. Whatever is left when the questions run out is the answer you gave.

The room is the hideout the deck plans draw. The table, and the chair on each side of it, are what the chapters put in it.

The deal

As she deals it — one card marked Morena cheats. One of your five answers is marked before it reaches you, and reaching for it at the end is what lets the manipulative half of Contagion in. A clean deal — nothing marked The same twelve cards with the marking taken out: the game as it would be if the restriction were kept. Not a hand she has ever played.

Nothing in hand. Pick a technique up from the Nen dock and sit down again — some of them have a great deal to say to twelve cards.
